Neuro-Linguistic Programming (NLP) and Coaching

After years of treating hundreds of patients with complementary medicine I got interested in learning NLP and coaching technique and incorporated in my practise. I observed that patients at times needed additional support when dealing with their illness. I believe as a coach l am able to support and encourage my patients to fulfil their potential, and really make the most of their life.

What  is coaching?

A coach can help to empower you to take control of your life, or certain areas of life, like for example, career, confidence/self belief, health, or work/life balance etc.

Losing direction in our lives can be easy. Coaching aims to explore ways to enhance the skills, qualities and creativity we already have which you may not recognise and may not be making the most of.

When dealing with Life coaching I explore attitudes, beliefs and values, discussing our aims in life and setting appropriate goals to help us to reach them. Unlike trying to achieve goals on our own, having a life coach should help to keep us committed, motivated and focused.

Like every sports men and women have their own coach, a life coach helps us to become the best we can be in our own lives.

Life Coaching Areas:

What is NLP ?

Neuro-Linguistic Programming (NLP) explores the relationship between how we think, how we communicate and our patterns of behaviour.

We all have thoughts, reactions, and behaviour patterns that are automatically 'programmed' into our minds, along with attitudes, beliefs and habits that can sometimes cause us unnecessary pain, and prevent us from achieving our goals. NLP uses techniques to change the patterns of behaviour that is replacing old with the new.

As a NLP practitioner I work with the conscious and unconscious mind to replace negative patterns of behaviour and thinking with more positive ones. NLP also supports and encourages individuals to fulfil their potential and empowers them to take control of their life or certain areas of their life.

The main differences between the two is the coaching only works with the conscious mind through conversation and goal setting, whereas NLP  works with the unconscious mind to change negative patterns of thinking and behaviour. NLP may also want to explore the past, whereas coaching will focus more on the present and the future.
